You ’ll be relieved to hump I am not still run somewhere out in the boonies . I finished the 100 sea mile backwash , about as quickly ( slowly ) as I expected to , in 22hr47 . I really enjoy the experience , but I have to admit to not enjoying so much the after effect , the aches and pain , the tiredness . Running 100 miles takes it out of you , it turns out . Serves me proper , I expect . A few weeks balance , then training commences for next year ’s race .

Time for Six on Saturday . Six thing , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything , you make up one’s mind . Join in !

Here are my Six for this week .

1 – Pyrocantha Chuck Berry . Festooned , but the birdie will presently have them all once the conditions turn cold .

2 – Ivy flower & client . At this time of year the slightly overgrown ivy that develop next door is full of buzzing as the bees get a late blast of nectar .

3 – Geranium ‘ Rosanne ’ . conceive I ’ve keep off Rosanne this year , but here she is .

4 – Has beans . The vegetable plot of land has been unfeignedly painful this year . Never a particularly enthusiastic grower of vegetable , this twelvemonth I have been most remiss . I could tell you that I deliberately leave these pods to dry out so as to save the seeds . In reality I just never harvested them . Next class I might just move the raspberries into the veggie plot , get them a flake more sunshine , and give up trying to grow anything else , it ’s just not deserving the effort .

5 – Clematis tangutica seed heads . When I look at these , I conceive of a windowpane display in a wig shop class , or a gaggle of ladies of a certain geezerhood getting their haircloth done in the salon . There are zillions of them on what is quite an overgrown flora .

6 – Cyclamen . Last fall I bought some cyclamen industrial plant to brighten up the plantation owner I have out front and on the patio . They flower away then mostly died over the winter , not being particularly hardy . A couple made it though , Exhibit A below .
