SixOnSaturday
Yesterday , there was a hot yellowed matter in the sky . I think back it from last year , I think . I wish it ! When can it come in back ? Today I shall mostly be tapping my foot impatiently , waiting for a large order of ferns to arrive . They are to go in a “ living wall ” arrangement I have cobbled together . No doubt it will feature here at some succeeding juncture . While I hold back , it ’s time for Six on Saturday . Six things , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything – a flower ( we have flowers ! ) , a new plant , a plan , a succeeder , a unsuccessful person , a job to do , a cock , anything at all . get together in !
Here are my Six .

1 – Tulips ! think those striped leave from a span of weeks ago ? The associated efflorescence have bud up and are now more or less unresolved , bask in the unfamiliar sunshine . The consensus last prison term is they are akaufmannianaof some form .
2 – Euphorbia cornigera . I think I grease one’s palms this at a works fair last May , having stress and failed to grow from seed . I cut it back early wintertime and had begun to think it had arrive a cropper in the cold grab we ’ve had . I need not have worried , it is kick downstairs through the mulch and looks in adept heart . There seem to be many more stem than I cut back , this is a good affair .
3 – Hakonechloa macra . I had almost given up on this hak mac , think it may have been too small a division to have survived . Today , however , on closelipped inspection I see that there is Modern development coming through . Yay !

4 – Dunnonotacluevia . I can not for the sprightliness of me commend what I set in this close of the planter . It must be a medulla oblongata , but of what like ? Not a scooby - doo . It will be a nice surprisal . Whatever it is , there ’s quite a set of it …
5 – Hart ’s spit fern . Last year ’s frond are looking a little past it , but I ’ll entrust them on for a few more weeks till the risk of frost has reduced to negligible levels . Parting the quondam frond , it is potential to see the raw growth coming through . In a few weeks these will be several inches tall , and almost as pretty and impressive as the final resolution .
6 – Forsythia . We have a big rambunctious hedgerow of this between our front garden and our neighbor . It ’s his boundary so I estimate the hedgerow is his too . It is way too tall and does n’t get a proper pruning except for what I turn out away from my side in aggravation at its tendency to loll about and prod me when I ’m mess up about in the front delimitation . For about 3 week of the twelvemonth it is endurable as it throw out a shot of welcome brightness , albeit a rather lary yellowness . I do n’t wish it for the other 49 weeks of the year . It ’s also common as muck labialise these part , every other garden has one . If I had my preference , I ’d chop it down and labor it up .

Those are my Six for this week , what are yours ? We have had a dozen or so first time Six posts the last few weeks , so if you are tempted , why not join in too ? Dead well-off , just post your Six , then crop up back over here to add a comment with your link in it . If you also add a link to this web access your military post , that would be fabulous . For more details you’re able to read thebrief participants guide .
Have a tiptop weekend , hopefully incorporating some more of that hot yellow affair in the sky .
I ’ll be back next week for another Six on Satirday .
