The following is a invitee situation with some playfulness seed planting suggestions from regular reader TB . -DTG
Planting seed does not have to be “ clean ” . Some gardeners believe that if they are to plant seed , they must be clean – wash away , dried , and alien cloth remove like you will get in semen sell by a seeds memory . This is not the typeface , evidently .
Melons
you could take the entrails of a melon – wet seeds plus those “ strings ” and plant them , properly out of the melon vine .
Ditto for butternut and other winter squash .
Tomatoes
love apple – only heirloom tomatoes are true to make ; modern hybrids may acquire tiny cherry tomato – similar to those in tomatoes that grow out of sewerage slime or the over - romanticize Everglades Lycopersicon esculentum ( which almost sure is a seedling from sewerage sludge ) . Anyway , mash up the tomato plant or slit it in small pieces – establish the mash or slash , cut across with stain and hold back .
This should work with eggplant but I rarely eat them and never grow them so have not tried . Peppers are often deal at an unripe stage so the seeds might not burgeon forth ( immature peppers ) .
Blueberries and Other Fruit
Blueberries – plant the whole fruit , or slit in one-half and plant that . Goji berry – plant the whole fruit . Fruits with large seminal fluid in the center ( mango . endocarp fruits in temperate climates ) – bury the whole fruit ( good style to use damaged or spoiled fruit ) .
Let Your Plants Go to Seed
permit your vegetable go to seed and you may have many volunteer seedlings at a later date .
cum planting does not have to be “ orderly ” or “ sanitary ” – after all , you will underwrite them with grunge at planting metre !

Rachel and I have set with some of these messy , hands - off method acting and had beneficial hazard with some of them . It worked large with autumn pumpkin and melon but did n’t work well with peppers which TB also noted .
Get out there and try some wild planting . Nature throws seed around – why let her have all the fun ?
