Filling every corner with beauty

My name is Emily Kozie , and I garden in Seattle on a pocket-size metropolis caboodle .

Here ’s a favorite exposure from my garden . It shows myshrub rose‘Lady Elsie May ’ and the lily ‘ Color Parade ’ against the trunk of the birch Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree in our front one thousand , but it showcases one of my showiestdahlias . I love dahlias , so my yard is at its best in late summer on into fall . It ’s stretch with textile for crafting nosegay , one of my other favorite activity . I do not know the name of the dahlia ; it has been growing here for many geezerhood . I do not dig my dahlias every year in Seattle . It grows next to an untempting chain link fencing , making it loose to “ jeopardize . ”

The big leaves of a coleus contrast with the narrow leaves of the Nipponese forest grass(Hakonechloamacra , Zones 5–9 ) .

The grass in the backyard is artificial — good decision we ever made . It even has “ Edward Teach ” in it .

This is our paver path from the driveway to the front walkway . Originally it was an region of lawn . We have flummox rid of all of our lawn . It ’s planting beds , pavers , or artificial sward for us !
