Today we ’re revisiting one of our favourite gardens – Irvin and Pauline Faria ’s garden in California . Irvin says,“This has been a special twelvemonth for Pauline ’s Garden and for us . Fifty long time ago we found a beautiful lot on which to build our home and create a woodland garden here in Carmichael , and sixty years ago we were married .
“ To immortalise our anniversary , at the garden entrance we replaced an old flowering quince bush bush with a new glaze pot and a Cordyline ‘ Electric Pink ’ graft from the garden . The glaze tones complement the hues of the exfoliating barque of the river birches in the incoming garden .
“ Salvia has been implant in a particular recess of the garden to draw in seethe bird . There I can sit down undetected by incoming birds and photograph them . A huge oak tree fell of a sudden without monition , splitting another oak tree tree diagram in two . Removal of both trees opened the brook side sitting arena to sun exposure , which is a gracious modification .

“ Two of Layman Whitaker ’s wind carving have been added to the garden . These exquisitely crafted sculptures fabricated from copper , steel , and unstained steel twist with the vague child’s play . Their calming effect blending into the nature of the garden while dance to the round of the breaking wind . We enjoy these whirling wind sculptures while having luncheon and overlooking the garden from one of three dinning board on the deck . At this time we are prepare formulation for autumn visitors and garden club group turn . We are still enjoying summertime weather here in Carmichael . ”
Happy , happy anniversary , Irvin and Pauline ! Your garden looks even lovlier than the last time we call in . How on earth do you manage it ? I am in awe .
