How to get free plants from sprouting perennials

When the plants have produced a generous clump of shoots around 4 in ( 10 centimetre ) high , scrape some soil away from the al-Qaeda of the flora then cut back a few shoots free , as near to the soil as you could . Do n’t take too many as that can weaken the plant , then firm the soil back as shortly as you may .

Once potted up , place the cuttings on a wanton windowsill out of unmediated sunshine and they will soon take and grow . At this point , remove the formative bag cover them and keep their compost just moist , not soggy .
