Visiting a city-wide garden tour
Today Barb Mrgich is taking us along on a walking tour of garden .
A couple age ago , a booster and I took a bus trip to visit theBuffalo Garden Walk , in Buffalo , New York .
The Buffalo Garden Walk is often referred to as the best garden tour in America . I concord . There were several thing about it that make it unequalled . First , there are over 400 gardens on video display . They are spread throughout the city , but many are clustered in small , easily walkable sections . secondly , many are contained on small city lots , and some — like this one — are built whole on top of concrete inraised beds . Just amazing !

This luxuriant garden ofColeus(Zones 10–11 or as an annual ) was built on a private road right in front of a garage door ! It was 100%containersand is great inspiration for nurseryman with small , urban gardening spaces .
This incrediblewater featurewas tucked in a backyard and whole surrounded by awalking path , endearing plants , and some uniquegarden art .
This shows a short more of my favorite pee lineament garden .

Some fun garden artistry in the same garden . They had so much in one little backyard , and they certainly did n’t waste any gas mowing this lot !
Most of the gardens were seriously beautiful . This one was severely fun ! Buffalo gardens are know for their whimsical sensation of style .
Garden decorations that are a lilliputian more insidious — these display Buffalo metropolis pride .

I thought the colour of this house fit right in with the base of this garden - crazed urban center ! And there was more fun out back .
Now this is what I call a side porch ! It is overflowing with greenery and bloom of youth , as no space is leave unplanted .
This is just a smattering of the wonderful , creative , and unique approximation the people of the Buffalo Garden Walk have to offer up . If you ever get the chance to go , do n’t overlook it !
